This conference will bring together high-level policy-makers, industry, research centers, international organisations and academia. Prime Minister of Finland Antti Rinne will open the conference together with European Commission’s representatives. Other confirmed speakers include Martin Pei, Chief Technical Officer of SSAB and Petteri Taalas, Secretary General of the World Metrological Organization.

SUNRISE partner Anita Schneider from EERA will be present at the event representing the initiative.

Sessions will address, among other topics, research and innovation (R&I) to support the clean energy transition keeping our industry competitive and involving citizens, the decarbonisation of industry, sector coupling and developments in renewable energy. Financing the transition towards net-zero emissions and circular economy, nuclear innovation and the role of women in clean energy will also be discussed.
