The 14th Nordic Photosynthesis Congress – NPC14
Our partners Eva-Mari Aro and Yagut Allahverdiyeva-Rinne from University of Turku have attendeed this Nordic Congress NPC-14 that took place in Virastotalo, Finland, between 22 and 24 of May 2019. Both of them gave a talk in the congress, Eva-Mari about Photosynthesis Regulation, while Yagut talked about the Nordic center of excellence NordAqua. They also introduced the SUNRISE initiative.
Just few days before, on 17 May, Prof. Eva-Mari Aro also gave a talk introducing SUNRISE in the Meeting of Finnish Research Foundations held in Helsinki.
More about the event:
Once initiated by scientists from Nordic countries, the Nordic Photosynthesis Congress takes place every two years and has over the past decades become an important forum for life scientists interested in structural and functional basics of photosynthesis, regulation, acclimation and primary production of photosynthetic organisms.
14th Nordic Photosynthesis Congress took place in Turku, Finland. The program of NPC14 covered structures and evolution of photosynthetic complexes, regulation and acclimation of photosynthesis, as well as bioengineering for improvement of photosynthetic yield and production of valuable biocompounds. Plenary lectures have been given by recognized international speakers. The major part of the congress program has been composed of the presentations of Nordic participants including both senior scientists and young researchers.
