The 9th edition of EuroNanoForum took place on June 12-14 in Bucharest, Romania.
This has been a great Europe’s networking conference focusing on nanotechnologies and advanced materials science, innovation and businesses. Therefore, the perfect occasion to give some inputs about the SUNRISE initiative. Our community was well represented with some of our partners (EMIRI, ENGIE, CEA, University of Warsaw, Uppsala University…) and supporters attending.
Even more, Joanna Kargul (Head of the Laboratory of Solar Fuels at the Centre of New Technologies – University of Warsaw, Poland) presented our initiative in her talk at PILLAR 1 NANO for ENERGY, SESSION 1.2: Advanced Materials and Nanotechnologies for Harnessing Solar Energy, June 12, 15:30 – 17:00h
“Sunrise – Sustainable fuels and chemicals from solar energy and CO2 – a candidate for a future European large-scale research initiative”
Also our colleague Laurent Baraton (Senior Research Engineer & Project Manager, ENGIE Lab CRIGEN, France) gave a talk: “Applications of nanomaterials in the activities of an Energy Utility”. The talk was part the PILLAR 1 NANO for ENERGY, SESSION 1.1:Nanotechnologies and Advanced Materials for a Carbon-neutral Society by 2050, moderated by Philippe Jacques from EMIRI (Managing Director, EMIRI – Energy Materials Industrial Research Initiative).
